Compass Life Sciences are working in partnership with one of the top UK CRO's involved in early phase clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity for GMC registered physicians to help create change and assistant in bringing life changing medicines to the market.
The Role
This role will be working in an early phase clinical trials unit, participating in phase I/II trials located near London Bridge. The client is offering a great training structure where you will be trained in procedures of clinical trials, after training, the salary will increase to include £7,200 of enhancements. You will be involved in 3 main clinical areas: screening /outpatient ward – this is where you will be predominantly based and 2 inpatient wards.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Physical patient checks / screening
  • Assessing vital signs
  • Carrying out ECGs
  • Enquiring about medical history and ensuring patients meet requirements of the study and briefing participants on the nature of the study and the protocols.
  • Ensuring pre-screening questionnaire is complete and accurate
  • Updating the electronic volunteer database system (VDB)

Requirements

  • Must have GMC registration (full licence to practise) and full medical training
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience post FY2
  • The ability to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement.
  • The individual must have great communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Must be patient orientated, with a passion for improving health and advancing medicines, with great bedside manner and the desire to make a real difference.
