Our client is going through a significant period of sustained growth and are looking to expand their business model and service offering to becoming more medically focused, and as such we are supporting their search for a Director of Medical Accuracy and Safety.

Using the power of data science, AI and a significant number of medical experts our client has developed a world leading application with the goal of supporting women to improve their health and wellbeing. Our client has the accolade of being the most popular health and fitness app globally, which is testament to their product and the success they are looking to build on. The accuracy of given information, and safety of users is paramount as our client undergoes this period of expansion. To this end, we are seeking someone who can not only integrate into the company, but actively grow and adapt as the number of users increase.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scientific strategy and act as a team leader within the Accuracy and Safety department.
  • Conduct high quality research that contributes to accurate gathering of data.
  • Develop innovative and resourceful strategies to share across the multitude of internal teams.
  • Network and build relationships with external research partners to design research studies including theoretical framework to be used for appropriate outcomes based on study goals.
  • Write research papers for publication in international peer reviewed medical and scientific journals.
  • Create and publish scientific evidence to internal teams and external channels.
  • Prepare high quality presentations of scientific data and present these at key meetings.
  • Requirements
    • Demonstrable experience working in management within a health-tech organisation.
    • A MD or PhD is highly desirable.
    • The right candidate will have experience in one of the following: Public Health, Health Promotion, reproductive Medicine population health or Biomedicine with a focus on Women's Health.
    • A proven track record of publications with peer reviewed journals related to women's health.
    • Understanding of regulatory aspects of EU and US medical device regulations.
    • Basic understanding of biostatistics.
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced start up environment with minimal supervision.
